Background Bio
I was raised along the invigorating northern California coastline. My mother encouraged my sister and I to spend the majority of our days playing outdoors. We enjoyed creating fantastical realms populated by creatures including Gryphons, Unicorns, Trolls and Super Heros. My personal favorite role was portraying Isis culled from Saturday morning tv adventures. Needless to say our imaginations flourished and many days spread into long cool evenings only temporarily halted when our mom located us in the hills surrounding our home.
From an early age I was drawn to crystals and the energies they imparted. I would often fill my pockets with mineral specimens and crystals because the beings who communicated through them had told me to take them home and gift some of them to others. I never thought that this was odd behavior. In truth these communications gave me a sense of peace and made me feel very connected to nature and Magick.
My relationship with the energies of all living organic and inorganic elements in nature spread as my curiosity grew about how life was connected. Utilizing plants properties for holistic health purposes made sense. Growing and eating within the seasons made sense. Travelling in the astral plane made sense. Seeing Faeries made sense and conversing with crystals made sense.
Then puberty hit...
Between the ages of 15 and 22 I had very little ability to harness the magick that had flowed so freely throughout my body prior to this time. I was pulled in many different directions physically, mentally and spiritually. Focus was difficult to maintain for any length of time and the hormones coursing through me left me in a constant state of frenetic energy. Peer pressure convinced me that believing in Magick was for losers. I allowed my true nature to be suppressed by fellow teens who were as confused and insecure as myself. I was miserable. I desperately needed a Gryphon to lift my soul and soar on lofty currents.
Little did I know...
Thank goodness we "don't know what we don't know". My Gryphon and my Tara arrived in the form of two mentors whom I met in my early twenties. These two people worked as a united team in every way. They brought me back into the Circle of Light and assisted me in seeking enlightenment. Most importantly they couldn't imagine why I would have chosen to stop seeing Faeries. Tara showed me some in a crystal while leading me through a guided meditation. Years of longing flowed down my spine and were released to be made into other types of energy in the ethers.
Since that time I have progressed in my path of learning through resources such as Landmark Education and tutelage in crystal energy work from Melody
During the past six years I have participated in bi-weekly clairvoyancy and metaphysical healing meditations under the guidance of Dr. Alisa S. Burgess PhD with a small commited group of very powerful women.
I have also continued to incorporate rituals in conjunction with the seasonal and elemental cycles that allow life to flourish. I have studied varied approaches to healing with herbs. I have also studied anatomy, physionomy and alchemy.
I have also continued expanding my knowledge of "all things mineral". I have studied the scientific properties, aesthetic values and the metaphysical potential of Crystals, Minerals and Gemstones for nearly twenty six years. During that time I have designed and created handmade jewelry of many different mediums. I have been fortunate to have been included in and pariticipated in several different artists collectives including The Secret Garden
I have also utilized minerals to channel gem essences and to provide consultations and assist in the well being of individuals and groups through communication with the who channel through natural crystals.
